David Hanor
David and his wife have been in Greenville now for eight years. After graduating from Furman, his wife started her career as a high school science teacher, and David found his niche in a local insurance agency. He learned from his experience at Allstate and decided that being an independent agent for many different carriers fit his needs and his clients’ needs better. In November 2014, David set up shop at Advisors.
His favorite part about insurance is meeting new people every day, each with their own story. As one of Dave Ramsey’s Endorsed Local Providers (ELP) for insurance, David enjoys helping his clients use their insurance to fit their budget and more importantly to protect their finances and everything they’ve worked so hard for. David specializes in auto, home, and life for his clients’ personal insurance needs as well as protecting small business clients with property and liability coverage.
David actively participates with the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of South Carolina through their continuing education and Young Agents events. He is also studying for his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
In their free time, David and Anna enjoy watching Carolina football—Go Gamecocks!, hiking in the Carolina mountains with their dog, and relaxing outside.
David Ashton did everything that he said he would do, and did it within the time frame that he said he would. He researched my options, saved me quite a bit of money, and I have a lot more coverage than I had before. He took the time to explain things, but he never came across as pushy. After purchasing three policies, I called for some paperwork to be faxed, and he got back with me the same day. He also had a much better quote for me than the other insurance broker that I had contacted, and the quotes were both for the same insurance company.

When we walked in the office, we were greeted with a warm hello, when we met David he seemed like a very nice person, down to earth kind of guy. When we talked about our car insurance there was no pressure, he gave us the information we asked about and told us we could take out time to think about if we needed to. We also had a few other questions for him and he answered them and explained everything in detail.
