PMAC (Poe Mill Achievement Center)
This month we are thrilled to feature a non-profit, PMAC, (Poe Mill Achievement Center) in our Small Business Highlight Blog.
PMAC
is a free after-school and summer program serving elementary aged children at Cherrydale Elementary and Stone Academy. Their mission is to provide an after-school and summer environment where children can Delight, Discover, and Develop.
A Little History
The Frazee Center was an after-school and summer program that served Greenville in the Hampton-Pinckney neighborhood for 12 years. In 2018 Frazee moved to Anderson. Having been with Frazee for four years, Hannah and Bennett Dixon wanted to maintain the relationships they had built with the families. After meeting with community leaders and Poe Mill residents, they decided to start PMAC to maintain and expand Frazee’s work in this part of Greenville.
PMAC currently operates at Grace Baptist Fellowship (where Frazee ran for 12 years) but it will move into the Poe Mill neighborhood this fall. The after-school program runs from August-June. Camp PMAC, their summer camp program, operates from June-August.
What do they do?
At PMAC, they want each child to have the opportunity to Delight, Discover, and Develop. What exactly does this mean?
- Delight
in their childhoods by enjoying life and being a kid!
- Discover
what gets them excited about living life to the fullest- be it arts, athletics, academics or a combination of all.
- And ultimately, Develop
into creative contributors to their society.
Why Greenville
Hannah went to Furman and Bennett is originally from Greenville, so Greenville holds a special place in their hearts. When the Frazee Center moved, it was only natural for them to want to continue their work in Greenville.

How can you help?
At PMAC, they are serving families of our community through our community! They welcome volunteers who want to be a part of what they are doing. PMAC needs people to assist with homework, reading, crafts, playing games, and providing dinner. Contact Hannah if you are interested in
volunteering!
They are 100% funded by our community (individuals, business, churches, and family foundations). So, your tax deductible
donations
are greatly appreciated.
