Growing up on the farm, Betsy and her sisters were tasked with the job of walking through the chicken houses daily with five gallon buckets to collect the dead chickens. Her parents taught her that anything worth doing is worth doing right. According to her, she may have learned this the hard way a few times (who wants to walk through a chicken house on a hot summer day picking up dead chickens twice). She learned this invaluable lesson as she watcher her parents work and serve others, especially when doing the right thing was not the easy thing.

Being the daughter of a Clemson graduate (which isn’t the college of choice near Gainesville, GA), Betsy grew up a Clemson fan. She followed in her dad’s footsteps and graduated from Clemson in 2002 with a BS in Graphic Communications. During her freshmen year, she met Blake (originally from Greenville, SC) who is now her husband of 15 years! After graduation, jobs and opportunities opened up in Greenville for both of them. Betsy loves that Greenville has been home for the past 15 years.

Betsy worked for International Paper and Sealed Air prior to becoming a full time stay at home mom to 3 “very spunky girls”. Several years ago, she and Blake met Miles and his wife (Abby) through a church group and became friends. Betsy and Abby used to mall walk together with their young babies! As Advisors Insurance Agency grew, Miles offered Betsy a job on the operations/financial side of the business. She loves this opportunity to use the part of her brain that is energized by spreadsheets and organizing data.
