Greenville Small Business Highlight: Sign Print Greenville, LLC

It’s always exciting and inspiring when I learn that new, successful business owners are moving to Greenville. They help keep the local economy alive and bring a refreshing perspective to our growing city. That’s how I felt when I was introduced to Chris Sheppard.

After spending 18 years in Charlotte, North Carolina, and five frigidly cold winters in New York, Chris decided it was time to finally make a move to Greenville. He ended up finding me online because he was in need of insurance services for the new print shop he is opening this year – Sign Print Greenville.

Being an independent business owner himself, he wanted to work with an independent insurance company. We had a great conversation and ended up developing a business-auto insurance plan for Sign Print Greenville.

Meet Chris Sheppard of Sign Print Greenville, LLC

With years of experience working for and owning multiple print shops, Chris has always made sure the business ethics of customer service and quick-turnaround have remained a part of his practice. In fact, it’s his great customer service and quick-turnaround that led him to work with some pretty cool clients, include developing all the signage for the movie Shallow Hal, creating signage for the ACC Conference and the March Madness Final Four Tournament when it was held in Charlotte.

Chris prefers to work with local businesses and takes pride in creating personal relationships with each of his clients because he believes it’s a great way to meet the people that make Greenville such a success, and it’s a proven business model for repeat clients.

“My last print businesses were a one-stop-shop — and I want to duplicate that model here,” Chris says. “We will be a one-stop-shop for local businesses, helping them with brochures, business cards, banners, vehicle graphics, yard signs, anything they need for their business.”

Why Greenville?

Chis sold his print company in Charlotte back in 2002 to go into commercial real estate brokerage. When that market went flat about 8 or 9 years later, he decided it was time for a change. “I had always loved Charlotte, but today it’s just different – bigger and fast paced – it stressed me out!” Chris recalled. “ I wanted to be close to Charlotte; Greenville is a growing city, but not a big city and it’s not far from the mountains, which is great because I like to go hiking and backpacking. Greenville is perfectly located and things just seemed to fall into place when I started looking to move here.”

And so Chris did!

Sign Print Greenville will open its doors on December 1. They are located at 1427 Laurens Road – Suite E – Greenville, 29607, stop on by! Or follow them on Facebook to see what they’re up to!

Congratulations to Chris Sheppard on the opening of his new company, Sign Print Greenville.
